From March 5 to 7, 2024, the University of the Philippines Mindanao hosted another round of consultations as part of its ongoing preparations for ISO 9001:2015 certification. These one-on-one coaching sessions involved all university units, ensuring tailored support for their specific quality management needs.
During the sessions, department representatives worked closely with the ISO resource person to review workflows, identify compliance gaps, and address challenges in aligning with the ISO standard. These consultations also reinforced the application of risk management practices and stakeholder engagement strategies across units.
As the university edges closer to its certification milestone, these consultations underscore its commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The University of the Philippines Mindanao, through its Quality Assurance Office (QAO), successfully conducted an Orientation and Onboarding Session on the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) today, May 16, 2025, via Zoom. The session was facilitated by UP Mindanao’s QMS Consultant, Mr. Perfecto Cagaanan Jr., and was attended by newly appointed unit heads, newly designated personnel, and other members of the teaching and administrative staff.
