December 7, 2023, marked the first of a series of consultations aimed at preparing all units of UP Mindanao for ISO 9001:2015 certification. These one-on-one coaching sessions were tailored to address the unique challenges faced by each department.
Through personalized guidance, units reviewed their processes, assessed readiness, and identified gaps in compliance with ISO standards. This initiative ensured that all departments were on the same page as the university moved closer to its certification goals.

The University of the Philippines Mindanao, through its Quality Assurance Office (QAO), successfully conducted an Orientation and Onboarding Session on the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) today, May 16, 2025, via Zoom. The session was facilitated by UP Mindanao’s QMS Consultant, Mr. Perfecto Cagaanan Jr., and was attended by newly appointed unit heads, newly designated personnel, and other members of the teaching and administrative staff.
