Marking three decades of unwavering dedication to excellence, the University of the Philippines Mindanao has proudly received multiple prestigious recognitions. These achievements reflect the university’s continuous pursuit of academic and institutional growth.

One of the university’s major accomplishments is its ISO certification, awarded by TUV SUD PSB Philippines, Inc. The recognition was formally presented by Senior Manager for Business Assurance Ms. Pamela Maye Gunay and Sales Executive for Mindanao Ms. Claudine Mae Dayagdag.

UP Mindanao has been granted a PRIME-HRM Maturity Level II Accreditation Bronze Award by the Civil Service Commission. This distinction acknowledges the university’s adherence to best practices in human resource management and its commitment to developing a professional and efficient workforce. The award was presented by Supervising Human Resource Specialist Jelyn G. Ladera, Field Office Director Marilyn M. Dujali, and Assistant Regional Director Venus O. Bumanlag.

Further solidifying its academic credibility, UP Mindanao received ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certification for its BS Biology program under the Department of Biological Sciences and Environmental Studies (DBSES) and its BS Computer Science program under the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (DMPCS). The certifications were received by Prof. Cinmayii Manliguez and Prof. Junaldo Mantiquilla for the BS Computer Science and BS Biology, respectively.

The awards were formally conferred on February 20, 2025, during UP Mindanao’s 30th Foundation Day celebration. The event was attended by the President of the University of the Philippines System, Hon. Angelo A. Jimenez, along with key university officials, faculty, staff, and distinguished guests. In his speech, he specifically recognized the efforts of UP Mindanao in instilling quality in both the academic and administrative sectors of the university.
