ICYMI | UP Mindanao has successfully met the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standards, with Mr. Len Marc P. Tagud, the lead auditor, and Mr. Xavier Lance Dy, the assistant auditor, recommending certification following a 4-day rigorous evaluation conducted from December 16-19, 2024, at the Admin Building, UP Mindanao.
The ISO audit focused on the processes and methods of the various UP Mindanao units and colleges, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement. This recommendation underscores the university’s commitment to enhancing its processes and delivering exceptional services to its stakeholders. It further solidifies UP Mindanao’s position as a leader in higher education, reaffirming its role in fostering innovation and excellence in the region while setting a benchmark for continuous improvement and global standards compliance.
The first Surveillance Audit is scheduled for September 2025.

The University of the Philippines Mindanao, through its Quality Assurance Office (QAO), successfully conducted an Orientation and Onboarding Session on the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) today, May 16, 2025, via Zoom. The session was facilitated by UP Mindanao’s QMS Consultant, Mr. Perfecto Cagaanan Jr., and was attended by newly appointed unit heads, newly designated personnel, and other members of the teaching and administrative staff.
