UP Mindanao Sent 12 Representatives to the First-Ever UP External QA Clinic

The University of the Philippines Mindanao participated in the first-ever UP QA Clinic, organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA). Held from March 31 to April 3, 2025, at UP Visayas in Iloilo City, the event gathered representatives from UP Cebu, UP Tacloban College, UP Visayas, and UP Mindanao to strengthen the external QA process for undergraduate degree programs.

UP Mindanao proudly sent 12 faculty representatives from various undergraduate programs across its three colleges. The QA Clinic featured training workshops, peer-to-peer sharing sessions, and consultations aimed at equipping participants with skills for preparing Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) and implementing post-EQA improvements.

Representing UP Mindanao's undergraduate programs were a/Prof. Marbie Alpos Entero for the Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Ms. Hanna Limpag for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and A/Prof. Giovanna Fae R. Oguis for the Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics. Ms. El Veena Grace Rosero represented the Bachelor of Science in Data Science, while A/Prof. Junaldo Mantiquilla and Ms. Marina Isabel Tac-an represented the Bachelor of Science in Biology. a/Prof. Merle Dawn Comidoy-Acol attended on behalf of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Arts, a/Prof. Roxanne Aguinaldo for the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Economics, and

Additionally, a/Prof. Kristin Faye M. Olalo participated for the Bachelor of Science in Architecture, a/Prof. Edward Estrera for the Bachelor of Science in Anthropology, a/Prof. Catherine Joy B. Lariosa represented the Bachelor of Sports Science, and A/Prof. Dennis Sumaylo represented the Bachelor of Arts in English.

The first-ever UP External QA Clinic marked a significant step in enhancing quality assurance across UP’s regional campuses. UP Mindanao is honored to be part of this initiative, contributing to the continuous development and accreditation of its degree programs.
