The University of the Philippines Mindanao participated in the first-ever UP QA Clinic, organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA). Held from March 31 to April 3, 2025, at UP Visayas in Iloilo City, the event gathered representatives from UP Cebu, UP Tacloban College, UP Visayas, and UP Mindanao to strengthen the external QA process for undergraduate degree programs.

Assoc. Prof. Jackie Lou Tagubase recently participated in the 8th Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Training, themed “OBE Ecosystem Approach to Future-Ready Education.” The training was held from February 25 to 28, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand, and gathered educators and academic leaders from various institutions to discuss advancements in OBE methodologies and their applications in higher education.

Prof. Karen Joyce Cayamanda and Prof. Jennifer Fronteras of UP Mindanao proudly represented the university at the 22nd ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Tier 1 Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment. The event took place from January 21 to 24, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand.

ICYMI | UP Mindanao has successfully met the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standards, with Mr. Len Marc P. Tagud, the lead auditor, and Mr. Xavier Lance Dy, the assistant auditor, recommending certification following a 4-day rigorous evaluation conducted from December 16-19, 2024, at the Admin Building, UP Mindanao.

The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of UP Mindanao, Prof. Annabelle Novero, and the Director of the UP Mindanao Quality Assurance Office, Prof. Ritchie Mae Gamot, attended the AUN QA International Conference 2024, held on December 11-12, 2024, at Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The conference brought together global experts and practitioners to discuss key topics, including the integration of artificial intelligence, the use of data analytics, and the development of future-ready quality cultures in higher education.
