The Academic Unit Heads, faculty members and staff of UP Mindanao attended the EQA and AUN-QA Orientation held on June 9, 2025, aimed at strengthening the university’s commitment to quality assurance in higher education.

The University of the Philippines Mindanao, through its Quality Assurance Office (QAO), successfully conducted an Orientation and Onboarding Session on the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) today, May 16, 2025, via Zoom. The session was facilitated by UP Mindanao’s QMS Consultant, Mr. Perfecto Cagaanan Jr., and was attended by newly appointed unit heads, newly designated personnel, and other members of the teaching and administrative staff.

The University of the Philippines Mindanao participated in the first-ever UP QA Clinic, organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA). Held from March 31 to April 3, 2025, at UP Visayas in Iloilo City, the event gathered representatives from UP Cebu, UP Tacloban College, UP Visayas, and UP Mindanao to strengthen the external QA process for undergraduate degree programs.

Marking three decades of unwavering dedication to excellence, the University of the Philippines Mindanao has proudly received multiple prestigious recognitions. These achievements reflect the university’s continuous pursuit of academic and institutional growth.

Assoc. Prof. Jackie Lou Tagubase recently participated in the 8th Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Training, themed “OBE Ecosystem Approach to Future-Ready Education.” The training was held from February 25 to 28, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand, and gathered educators and academic leaders from various institutions to discuss advancements in OBE methodologies and their applications in higher education.

Prof. Karen Joyce Cayamanda and Prof. Jennifer Fronteras of UP Mindanao proudly represented the university at the 22nd ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Tier 1 Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment. The event took place from January 21 to 24, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand.
