Assoc. Prof. Ritchie Mae T. Gamot from UP Mindanao served as an external quality reviewer for the External Quality Assurance (EQA) review of the BS Biology program at UP Manila from November 25-29, 2024.

UP Mindanao shows its commitment and dedication to excellence by sending the largest delegation of participants to the 3rd UP External Reviewers Training, held from November 24-30, 2024, at Ibis Styles Araneta City, Quezon City. 

ICYMI | Dr. Annabelle U. Novero from UP Mindanao recently served as an External Quality Reviewer in the External Quality Assessment (Type B) for the University of the Philippines Visayas for the program Bachelor of Science in Management. Held from November 20 to 22, 2024, the activity also assessed the undergraduate programs in the College of Management, including BS Accountancy, BS Business Administration, and BS Management.

ICYMI | The University of the Philippines Mindanao successfully completed the Stage 1 Audit for ISO 9001:2015 on November 11, 2024, led by TÜV SÜD Auditor Xavier Lance Y. Dy. The audit included a meticulous review of the university's Quality Management System (QMS), examining both documentation and physical evidence of quality processes.

From October 17 to 23, 2024, Associate Professor Ritchie Mae Gamot, Director of the UP Mindanao Quality Assurance Office, participated in the 17th AUN-QA Tier 2 Training, a specialized workshop for those who have completed Tier 1. The seven-day training began with training sessions at Seda Vertis North, Quezon City, and continued with observing a live programme assessment at Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). During the live assessment, Professor Gamot observed the programme assessment for the BA in Interdisciplinary Studies.

UP Mindanao's BS Computer Science and BS Biology programs have successfully PASSED the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Program Assessment. This becomes the first two degree programs in UP Mindanao to achieve this milestone and setting a new standard of academic excellence. Conducted from June 11-13, 2024, this assessment underscores UP Mindanao’s commitment to meeting high standards in educational quality and competitive standing within the ASEAN region.
