From October 17 to 23, 2024, Associate Professor Ritchie Mae Gamot, Director of the UP Mindanao Quality Assurance Office, participated in the 17th AUN-QA Tier 2 Training, a specialized workshop for those who have completed Tier 1. The seven-day training began with training sessions at Seda Vertis North, Quezon City, and continued with observing a live programme assessment at Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). During the live assessment, Professor Gamot observed the programme assessment for the BA in Interdisciplinary Studies.

UP Mindanao's BS Computer Science and BS Biology programs have successfully PASSED the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Program Assessment. This becomes the first two degree programs in UP Mindanao to achieve this milestone and setting a new standard of academic excellence. Conducted from June 11-13, 2024, this assessment underscores UP Mindanao’s commitment to meeting high standards in educational quality and competitive standing within the ASEAN region. 

On October 30, 2024, the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) conducted its 2024 Citizen Satisfaction Survey (CitSat) with UP Mindanao stakeholders at the Admin Building, UP Mindanao. This survey aimed to assess and enhance the quality of frontline government services by gathering valuable insights to guide strategic improvements addressing the evolving needs of the public.

Last April 5, 2024, the establishment of the UP Mindanao Quality Assurance Office (QAO) was approved by the Board of Regents during its 1388th meeting. Moreover, it was highlighted that a new academic program must first pass the quality assurance standards set by the constituent university's Quality Assurance Office before it is submitted for approval by the Board of Regents.

From July 3 to 5, 2024, a select group of process owners underwent Internal Auditor Training. This workshop equipped participants with the skills necessary to evaluate internal systems and ensure compliance with ISO standards. Participants were trained into internal auditors that can conduct effective internal audits.

A follow-up training session for document controllers, held from June 19 to 21, 2024, catered to staff unable to attend the initial workshop. This session reiterated best practices for document management, ensuring that all process owners were equipped to handle their roles effectively.
